Technology rules the world. Menial jobs are done by robots and androids almost impossible to distinguish from human beings. Those that are fortunate are given meaningless jobs handed down through family. Those that are unfortunate aren’t wanted on Earth. They’re forced to immigrate to the Colonies.
Thanks to his father, Donnie Livingston is foreman to robots and androids with no chance to change anything. The system encourages stability, not change. Until he stumbles over an advertisement. The local American football team is desperately looking for new players. But few are still watching human sports anymore on Earth. Determined to escape his former life, Donnie sets out to try his luck elsewhere: in the colony on Moon. All he has is the will to succeed, unaware that he brought something from Earth that can only mean trouble.
